As a destination wedding photographer based in Scottsdale, Arizona, being a preferred Nestldown wedding photographer is an absolute honor. I’m constantly drawn to venues that feel immersive, intentional, and timeless. Jordan and Kennedy’s wedding day embodied all of that and more.
On September fifth of 2025, I traveled from Portland, Oregon, to Northern California to capture their wedding at Nestldown. Widely considered one of the most sought-after wedding venues in the San Francisco Bay Area, Nestldown absolutely lives up to its reputation.
Nestled deep within the redwoods, the property feels like its own hidden world. The moment guests arrive, everything slows down. The atmosphere feels quiet, cinematic, and effortlessly romantic.

Nestldown stands apart from nearly every venue I’ve photographed. As a Nestldown wedding photographer who travels nationwide, I can confidently say the variety throughout this property is unmatched.
The grounds feel expansive yet intentional. A peaceful lake sits beside the primary ceremony site, while a koi pond and waterfall hide quietly behind the barn. Around every corner, guests discover something unexpected that still feels cohesive with the overall design.
One of the most whimsical parts of the property is the Disney-inspired area tucked into the forest. Here, couples will find a storybook cottage complete with music, broomsticks, and even a Mary Poppins umbrella. A small maze leads guests to the entrance, although they can also walk around it, if preferred.
Nearby, a nearly life-sized chessboard and fire-breathing dragon bring another layer of personality to the venue. The property also features detailed sand sculptures that are regularly recreated after weather damage. Even with these playful details, the space still feels elevated and elegant rather than overly themed.
The main ceremony site sits lower on the property, creating a naturally secluded and intimate atmosphere. While most guests walk down to the ceremony space, staff members transport family and friends with accessibility concerns via golf cart for added comfort and convenience.

Because the ceremony area stays heavily shaded beneath the trees, the lighting remains soft and even throughout the day. From a photography perspective, that makes a huge difference. In addition, the dramatic staircase leading into the ceremony space creates an unforgettable entrance that feels straight out of a film.
The ceremony space, since this wedding, was also recently widened/expanded over late 2025 through early 2026 for an enhanced and fully unobstructed guest experience.
Just before Kennedy walked down the aisle with her father, she surprised Jordan in an incredibly personal way. Their DJ played a private recording of her voice as she shared how much she loved him and how excited she felt to finally marry him after nearly ten years together.
As a Nestldown wedding photographer, moments like this remind me exactly why I love documenting weddings.

One of my favorite things about photographing weddings at Nestldown is how naturally the day flows. Because the property offers so much variety, I never feel restricted by location, lighting, or timing.
Even during bright California afternoons, the towering redwoods provide beautiful natural cover. As a result, couples receive flattering light throughout the property and gain far more flexibility within their timeline, just from the amount of variety of locations on site.
There are endless options for portraits, from forest paths to waterfront views. From chess boards to flowery gardens. Each backdrop feels intentional and elevated. Couples never feel rushed, and galleries feel cohesive without being repetitive.

Nestldown requires certain vendors, which honestly becomes a major advantage for couples. Since those professionals already know the property well, the wedding day tends to run far more smoothly and efficiently.
The venue also maintains a trusted preferred vendor list, and I’m proud to be included on it. As a Nestldown wedding photographer, I’ll gladly take any opportunity to return to this property, and am excited to come back multiple times already in 2027.
Couples can still bring in their own photographer and videographer. However, the venue does enforce strict vendor guidelines. For example, drones are not permitted anywhere on the property, which is important to consider during videography planning.
Throughout the day, couples can also expect to experience an enhanced team of professionals. The Nestldown team stays calm, attentive, and highly organized, all the way down to vendor headsets. Because of this professionalism and experience, couples can remain present and enjoy their wedding day to its fullest.
With multiple indoor and outdoor reception options, Nestldown offers incredible versatility. In addition to weddings, the property also works beautifully for rehearsal dinners, corporate retreats, and holiday events.
As the sun sets, the venue transitions seamlessly from daytime elegance into a warm, intimate evening atmosphere. Even larger weddings still feel personal and connected within the space.
According to publicly available information, Nestldown wedding pricing typically ranges from $17,500 to $35,000 depending on the season, guest count, and event details.
Although it represents a significant investment, couples receive an experience that feels genuinely unforgettable. From the setting itself to the service and overall atmosphere, every part of the venue feels intentional and elevated.
As a Nestldown wedding photographer, I can confidently say the experience fully supports the price point.

Although I’m based in Scottsdale, Arizona, I photograph weddings throughout California and worldwide. Destination celebrations like this one continue to be some of my absolute favorites.
If you’re planning a Nestldown wedding and want imagery that feels refined, emotional, and timeless from an experienced Nestldown Wedding Photographer, I would love to connect.
