Located near Salem in the heart of the Willamette Valley, HappiMiss Lavender is a brand-new venue that combines a French Country-inspired estate with hundreds of lavender plants. It feels romantic, intimate, and completely unlike anywhere else in Oregon. As a destination wedding photographer, I love unique wedding venues like this one!
Originally a private estate and home, HappiMiss Lavender was transformed by its owners into a space where couples can celebrate surrounded by gardens, greenery, and the incredible beauty of the lavender fields. The property is owned by two of the sweetest people, and you can immediately feel the care and intention they’ve poured into creating this space.
While the venue is currently designed for intimate and micro weddings, future expansion plans are already in the works to accommodate larger celebrations in the coming years. For couples dreaming of a private Willamette Valley wedding surrounded by lavender blooms and French Country charm, a HappiMiss Lavender wedding is worth keeping on your radar.

There are so many reasons I love photographing at HappiMiss Lavender, but the biggest one is how unique the setting feels. Oregon has no shortage of beautiful wedding venues, but very few offer the combination of a historic-feeling estate, a private garden atmosphere, and rows of lavender as the main focal point.
The lavender fields are truly the star of the property. When the plants reach peak bloom in late June and early July, the entire landscape transforms. It’s filled with color, texture, and fragrance. The rows of lavender create natural leading lines for portraits, while the surrounding greenery adds depth.
The home itself adds even more charm. The French Country-inspired architecture is elegant without feeling overly formal. It creates a beautiful contrast with the natural garden setting. It has the warmth of a private estate while still feeling elevated enough for a luxury wedding experience.
I also love that the property feels intentional for smaller celebrations. With an intimate guest count, couples and their guests get to truly experience the grounds, the gardens, and the peaceful atmosphere that makes this location so special. Every corner of HappiMiss Lavender feels thoughtfully designed, making it a dream wedding venue for couples!

Beyond the beauty of the lavender fields, what makes HappiMiss Lavender stand out is the feeling of the property itself. Because this venue began as a private estate, it has a warmth that many traditional venues don’t have.
One of the biggest highlights is the heart-shaped lavender garden, which creates a truly memorable ceremony setting. With how beautiful it already is, it requires very little additional décor and feels incredibly romantic.
The venue also includes a gorgeous, newly built air-conditioned bridal suite upstairs. This gives couples a comfortable and beautiful place to get ready while staying close to the celebration. Having a dedicated getting-ready space is especially valuable for photography because it allows for more relaxed moments, beautiful details, and a smoother wedding day timeline.

HappiMiss Lavender is designed around creating an intimate garden wedding experience. While the venue is currently best suited for micro weddings, every part of the property has been thoughtfully created to make smaller celebrations feel incredibly meaningful.
The heart-shaped lavender garden is the signature ceremony location at HappiMiss Lavender. It’s surrounded by blooming lavender and views of the estate grounds. It feels straight out of the French countryside.

The French Country-inspired home brings warmth and character to the property. Its architecture adds a timeless element to portraits, details, and wedding day moments.

Beyond the lavender itself, the surrounding gardens offer even more variety for photos. The greenery, pathways, and open spaces allow couples to explore different areas of the property throughout the day.

From my perspective, HappiMiss Lavender is perfect for couples who want something different from a traditional ballroom, vineyard, or barn wedding.
This venue is perfect for couples who:
It’s especially ideal for couples planning a micro wedding who want their day to feel intentional and personal rather than simply scaled down.

Having photographed this property during its early stages, here are a few tips from a photographer’s perspective:
A venue this unique deserves time to explore, so I always recommend building in room for portraits and enjoying the property throughout the day.

After photographing this venue, these locations immediately stood out:
Of course, the lavender fields are the highlight. The rows create beautiful symmetry, movement, and depth while allowing couples to feel completely immersed in the landscape.

The estate provides a timeless backdrop for portraits, details, and getting-ready moments. The architecture adds an elegant contrast to the softness of the gardens.

The greenery throughout the property creates a more organic feel and gives couples a variety of looks without ever needing to leave the venue.
Every wedding at HappiMiss Lavender will feel a little different depending on the season, but the combination of lavender, architecture, and natural surroundings creates endless opportunities.

As a brand-new venue, HappiMiss Lavender offers an intimate wedding experience at a range of price points depending on the season and day of the week. Current packages range from approximately $5,500 for off-peak weekday celebrations to $10,000 for peak season weekends. Because the venue is still growing and expanding its offerings, I recommend reaching out directly for the most up-to-date package details and availability.

Because HappiMiss Lavender is such a new venue, I wanted to create imagery that showcased the full potential of this incredible property. Alongside two talented co-hosts, I helped plan and design this editorial content day with the goal of highlighting the lavender, the estate, and the overall feeling couples could experience here.
Every detail was chosen intentionally, from the overflowing florals and classic car to the elegant details, beautiful models, and clean color palette. Our goal was not to overpower the property, but instead to allow the lavender fields, greenery, and French Country home to be the focus.
Content days like this are such a valuable way for photographers and venues to create intentional imagery. They allow photographers to push their creativity, while giving new venues the opportunity to showcase their spaces before hosting dozens of weddings.
I’ve loved creating similar editorial experiences in the past, including my Chateau de Lis content day. Experiences like these are something I’m incredibly passionate about, and I’m excited to continue creating more intentional content days in the future!

As a destination wedding photographer, I’m always searching for venues that offer something truly memorable, and HappiMiss Lavender is exactly that. Between the lavender fields, French Country estate, and intimate atmosphere, this venue gives couples the opportunity to create a wedding day that is unlike anything else.
If you’re planning a HappiMiss Lavender wedding or exploring other unique wedding venues, I’d love to document it. From intimate celebrations to destination weddings, my goal is always to create images that feel timeless, natural, and full of emotion. Get in touch today to learn more!
