Let me introduce you to Desert View Weddings and Events. If you’re looking for one of the best wedding venues near Phoenix, Arizona, look no further than Desert View. As a Phoenix, Arizona based Destination Wedding Photographer, I’ve had the chance to photograph weddings across the country—and this gem is hands down one of the best wedding venues in the area.
From the moment I arrived, I knew this venue was something special. Tucked into the East Valley with stunning Superstition Mountain views, it combines elegance, convenience, and desert charm into one amazing wedding space with both indoor and outdoor options.
Despite their recent opening, Desert View Weddings and Events has quickly become a go-to for engaged couples. With indoor and outdoor ceremony options, a clean layout, and unbeatable lighting, it’s easy to see why it stands out among Phoenix wedding venues.
From the outside, the venue features two modern buildings and a private gated courtyard in between. Even without tons of signs, you’ll feel like you’ve arrived at a high-end desert retreat.
From the moment you walk in, it is clear that every detail of this venue was created with thought, all the way down to the layout of the getting ready spaces and free wifi.
On site there are also two gorgeous getting ready spaces. The first is a 600 square foot bridal suite with multiple sitting areas and gorgeous, natural, indoor lighting. The second is a smaller 200 square foot space with a TV, mini fridge, HDMI cord, and of course, free wifi.
For the couple wanting to save their first look for the aisle, you don’t have to worry. The groom’s suite is located at the front of the event hall building. The larger bridal suite is then further back, and even around the corner. This helps you ensure no accidental or unwanted sightings by your future spouse, or guests.
The indoor chapel at Desert View seats up to 225 guests and features floor-to-ceiling accordion windows. These open entirely to reveal a sweeping view of the Superstition Mountains, creating a ceremony setting that feels intimate and grand all at once.
It’s also fully climate-controlled year-round, which is a huge plus for summer weddings in Phoenix. Additionally, natural light pours in from every angle, making it a dream to photograph in.
Prefer to get married under the open sky? The courtyard between the two buildings at Desert View Weddings and Events comfortably accommodates up to 225 guests. From October through April, this is the perfect spot for an outdoor ceremony.
Additionally, the outdoor courtyard is framed by natural elements with soft neutral tones and gorgeous views of the Superstition Mountains, making it feel both grounded and romantic.
At golden hour, this space becomes even more magical. The way the desert light wraps around you is breathtaking. Whether you prefer to use this as a ceremony space, cocktail hour space, or both, this is a gorgeous area to spend some time while at Desert View.
Wanting to add some additional fun for your guests? This is also the perfect place to lawn games, and photo backdrops such as marquee letters.

As a destination wedding photographer who primarily travels between Oregon and Arizona, I can confidently say this venue delivers on every level: light, structure, and flow.
My personal favorite? The seamless, simple, timeless design. Every detail is carefully curated to compliment any celebration and color palette. This paired with the stunning natural light allows me to capture everything from vows to golden hour portraits in a seamless way (especially since they recently added stairs down to the cacti).
You don’t need to overdecorate here. Although, you certainly can. This venue’s clean lines, desert palette, and natural textures speak for themselves and elevate even the most simple wedding designs.
The only complicated factor that couples and photographers should be aware of is how difficult it is to not overexpose the background when shooting indoors. This is because photographers have to shoot based often on the lighting of their subject. Since it’s much darker indoors, photographers have to shoot appropriately, so often times outdoor details are less detailed. In other words, this means that your photos will lose some mountain detail in your background.
More simply, if you’re opting for an indoor ceremony, be prepared for the gorgeous mountain views to not be fully visible in all of your final wedding photos. For those views, make sure to take some of your photos down near the cacti.
